Project Name: Business Advisor Direct Mail

Client: Triad, E2Media

Notes:This was one of the more fun ideas I've had an opportunity to work on. Eric Eisen, the Creative Director at E2 Media came up with the idea of the decoder ring to metaphorically represent Triad's Business Advisor software which analyses raw business data and advises on future plans for the lumber and hardware industries. I built the heiroglyphic tablet and the decoder ring in 3D Studio Max, did the background for the ring in Illustrator and Photoshop, and laid out the piece in PageMaker.

The only thing I don't like about the piece is the choice of font (Lithos). I didn't want to use it. It did work to give both an ancient feeling and a comic book sensibility, but I feel the font is too blunt, too klunky, too commonly used and dated, witout feeling retro.

My favorite thing about the piece is that you can actually use the strip below the ring to decode the heiroglyphics on the front cover.
